For Atalanta-Cagliari, Fabio Pisacane has a significant new addition: Yerry Mina. Having overcome the fatigue that had hampered his recovery after rejoining the team on August 7th following his extended vacation from playing in the World Cup, the Colombian defender is in contention for a starting spot for the first time. The coach didn't rule him out in yesterday's press conference, but he hinted that he could replace Juan Rodríguez, given that the latter had a hamstring injury this week.
For the rest, Cagliari's lineup against Atalanta will be the same as in previous matches . In front of Elia Caprile, the wingers are Zé Pedro (a first-time call-up on the right for Japanese player Yukinari Sugawara, who has taken the number 28 shirt) and Adam Obert. In midfield, Alessandro Romano (now an "Italian"), Harry Winks, and Jacopo Fazzini; behind striker Paul Mendy (who scored a brace in the last match), the two former greats Michel Adopo and Daniel Maldini. Among the former players, Gianluca Gaetano, who plays for the Bergamo club, will miss the match due to suspension. Kevin Carlos is back, while Mattia Felici, who has recently recovered from surgery, is obviously out.
