There is news on the negotiations for a "ceasefire" in Gaza. Israel has in fact sent the "updated" proposal to the US for an agreement that also concerns the release of the hostages. This was reported by the Walla website according to which the conditions raised by the prime minister are contained in the proposal.

Among these, the control mechanism to prevent the passage of militiamen from the south to the north of Gaza. A summit is expected tomorrow in Rome between the Israeli delegation, led by the head of the Mossad David Barnea, the director of the CIA William Burns, the prime minister of Qatar, Mohammed Al-Thani, and the head of Egyptian intelligence, Abbas Kamal. The forwarding of the proposal within two days was announced by Netanyahu after the meeting with President Joe Biden at the White House.

Meeting the families of the hostages, again in Washington, Netanyahu promised that the agreement would not be delayed and that, within that period of time, the proposal would be presented to Hamas. If accepted, Israeli control of the "Philadelphia Corridor", the strip of land between Gaza and Egypt, is expected to remain in place. This would make it possible to hinder the arms smuggling that Hamas has allegedly carried out in recent years.
