"Let me be president again, and you won't have to vote again in four years."

Donald Trump's appeal in front of a crowd of Christian supporters alarms the Democrats and civil rights defenders, giving strength to the thesis of those who maintain that in the event of the tycoon's re-election there would be the risk of an authoritarian turn.

«Christians, go out and vote! Just this once, then you won't have to do it again,” the former Republican president said last night at a rally hosted in West Palm Beach, Florida, by the far-right group Turning Point Action.

«You know what? Everything will be fixed! It will all be fine. You will never have to vote again, my dear Christians," Trump insisted. At that point, shaking his head slightly and placing his hand on his chest, he admitted: "I'm not a Christian." But then he added: «I love you. Go out, you have to go out and vote. In four years, you won't have to vote anymore. We'll fix things so well that you won't have to vote anymore."
