Donald Trump signed an executive order in the Oval Office to withdraw the United States from the UN Human Rights Council and block funding to UNRWA.
With the executive order , Trump withdraws his country from a number of United Nations bodies, including the Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and the main UN relief agency for the Palestinians (UNRWA) , and orders a broad review of US funding for the UN. He also ordered a review of US involvement in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
The US president also said that Palestinians would “love” to leave their besieged homeland in Gaza and live elsewhere if they had the opportunity. “I think they would be thrilled,” he said. He thus endorsed the line of Benjamin Netanyahu, who wants to evacuate Gaza and has stated that the Strip “will not be habitable for 10 to 15 years.”
The tycoon also signed an executive order to reimpose "maximum pressure" on Iran and at the same time issued a warning to the ayatollahs. "I left orders, if Iran kills me it will be annihilated."
