The Nobel Prize for Chemistry goes to Bawendi, Brus and Ekimov

The 2023 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to Moungi Bawendi, Louis E. Brus and Alexey Ekimov.

Recognition for studies carried out in the field of nanotechnology, and in particular for the discovery of the quantum dot, the quantum dots considered the basis for many technologies ranging from communications to optics, to future super-fast computers or to diagnostic imaging and biomedicine.
