The M5s: «Boom in Italian arms exports to Israel: are Sardinian ones also there?»
Five Star Movement MPs from the Foreign Affairs Committees of the Chamber and Senate: «Tajani should clarify on RWM». Surge in deliveries to Tel Aviv: 3 million in June alonePer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
"Can Minister Tajani guarantee that the material delivered to Israel does not include aircraft bombs and artillery shells produced in Sardinia by Rwm Italia?" The M5S parliamentarians of the Foreign Affairs Committees of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate are asking this question to the head of Foreign Affairs of the Meloni government.
In their hands they have the latest data released by Istat on the export of Italian weapons to Tel Aviv, which show a surge in deliveries in the month of June with over 3 million euros of war material "Made in Italy" sold to the country at war: "A boom that brings the overall value of military exports to Israel to 7.6 million since the beginning of the war in Gaza."
The Farnesina, the Five Star Movement added, "maintains that it mainly concerns communications material not used in operations in Gaza, but the export authorizations for 9.9 million euros issued last year before October 7 - as indicated in table B7 of the report on war exports transmitted last March to Parliament - also concern "bombs, rockets, missiles, munitions and aircraft"".
And the suspicion is that the shipments contain weapons produced in Domusnovas. "Two UN resolutions, the one approved yesterday by the General Assembly with Italy's abstention and the one approved last April by the Human Rights Council, call for a global arms embargo on Israel: the Italian government must respect the United Nations and not make our country an accomplice to Israel's war crimes in Gaza," conclude the 5 Star parliamentarians.
