The provisional toll of the collapse , in the Colombian central department of Tolima, of at least eight boxes in a grandstand of the “Gilberto Charry” arena, where a popular festival with bulls was in progress, has risen to at least eight dead and 60 seriously injured .

The show was organized for the holidays in these days of St. Peter and Paul, and the stands of the arena were packed with spectators when, perhaps due to excessive crowding, the collapse occurred which involved a large number of people.

The governor of the department of Tolima, José Ricardo Orozco, has announced that, for now, "the dead are eight and that the number of injured exceeds 60", but the toll is still being updated .

Images have been posted on the social networks in which you can clearly see the moment of the collapse, the great fuss generated, the people engulfed by the structures that crashed to the ground, and the desperate escape of the people who at that moment challenged the bulls in freedom in the arena.
