In the United States – and not only – the anti-Trump and anti-Musk protests are raging, nicknamed “Hands Off”, or “hands off”. Hands off.

Over 1200 demonstrations have been organised in the 50 US states and in Washington, while various forms of protest have also taken place in various foreign countries, from Canada to Mexico, from Germany to France, from Great Britain to Portugal and Italy, with initiatives in London, Paris and Rome, among others.

The protests have touched various American cities, from New York to Boston, from San Francisco to Portland.

But the epicenter was Washington, where thousands of activists gathered on the National Mall under the Washington Monument, a stone's throw from the White House . A colorful crowd of all ages and with original slogans, as if after a long time the lost Dem people had found strength and creativity for the "resistance", as one of the signs in the shadow of the obelisk reads.

"Wake up and smell the coup", "Trump golfs while USA burns", "Aren't you tariffied?" are some of the slogans.

Many are warning us to “keep our hands off” democracy, healthcare and everything else that has ended up in the crosshairs of Trump and his tycoon’s sights.

Anger in the States is growing after the indiscriminate cuts in public spending, the crackdown on rights and freedoms, as well as the tariffs that - according to many economists - risk increasing the cost of living. Moves that this week caused the president's approval to plummet to 43%, the lowest percentage since he took office.

And even among Republicans, the measures implemented by the tycoon are starting to generate concern.
