Talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan concluded after three hours in Sochi on the possible relaunch of the initiative that had allowed the export of grain via a safe corridor in the Black Sea .

Russia "is ready to return to the agreement on wheat" but only when the counterparts apply the points that provide for the removal of obstacles to exports of Russian cereals and fertilizers, reiterated President Putin in a joint press conference with Erdogan.

"We ask to eliminate the sanctions and to improve the conditions for our boats, we want safety for navigation to be guaranteed" then "we are ready to revive the agreement and we will do so when these agreements are satisfied", he added.

"We were forced to take the decision" to exit the agreement on Ukrainian wheat "because of what Western countries have done", he reiterated: "In fact, they have made it impossible for us to transport our products".

«We have prepared some proposals together with the UN. I believe that with this process positive results can be achieved in a short time,” Erdogan said. That as regards the outcome of the war, he says he is ready to do his part so that Russia and Ukraine have direct negotiations.

"Of course, Ukraine must soften its approach to be able to take steps together with Russia," he said.
