Strong winds in the Alps cause a cable car cabin to collapse in Switzerland, killing one person.

Tragedy in Switzerland , in the Swiss ski resort of Engelberg , where a person died after the cable car cabin he was travelling in collapsed due to strong winds.
The Nidwalden cantonal police reported this, cited by RSI, Swiss radio and television. The victim was alone in the collapsed cabin . The federal police, contacted by the Italian embassy in Bern, ruled out the involvement of Italians.
