Only half successful test for Starship : Elon Musk's spaceship destined for the Moon and Mars faced its maiden flight together with the Super Heavy launcher, the largest rocket ever built .

The departure took place from Boca Chica, the SpaceX base in Texas. In the first flight test, Starship, four minutes after departure, did not separate from the launcher and not all the engines of the Super Heavy rocket ignited correctly . A malfunction and a subsequent explosion, carried out by the technicians "for safety reasons", which Elon Musk did not like, who later commented that the test was still a success.

"Success comes from what we learn and today's test - writes SpaceX in a tweet - will help us improve Starship's reliability".

WHAT HAPPENED – According to SpaceX, the Starship was detonated in flight "for safety reasons" and because the lack of separation from the first stage of the launcher made it "highly unstable" .

Shortly after launch, the shuttle began spinning erratically. The decision, therefore, to destroy it because its return to Earth would have taken place in an uncontrolled way .
