The story of Ielly Gabriele Alves, a 23-year-old young woman, who filmed her boyfriend shooting her, killing her, is shaking Brazil.

It seemed like a Saturday night like any other in Jataí, a town in the Brazilian state of Goias. The couple is at home, she is filming her boyfriend with her cell phone. The two talk calmly when he, looking out the window - while she laughs and jokes - turns, points a gun at her and shoots.

The 23-year-old, hit by the bullet, collapses lifelessly to the ground.

The local police report indicates that that night a unit received a call to come to the Hospital das Clínicas, where Ielly was admitted with a gunshot wound to the chest. When officers arrived, however, they found her already dead. When questioned, the killer, identified as Diego Fonseca Borges, 27, said he was in the car with his girlfriend when two men on motorbikes shot at them during a robbery. However, the version did not convince the investigators, who immediately noticed some contradictions.

After analyzing the victim's cell phone, the truth came out and the young man was arrested on suspicion of murder. Meanwhile, a friend of Ielly revealed that the girl had already been threatened by Diego, who had a criminal record.
