Strong earthquake in the Mediterranean Sea, off the coast of the island of Cyprus.
The earthquake, according to the website of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, recorded a magnitude of 6.5.
The hypocenter was located 35 kilometers deep.
The tremors were felt, as well as throughout Cyprus, as far as Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Israel and Egypt.
Some residents near the epicenter have spoken of minor damage to their home, but there have been no reports of casualties or injuries.
