Italy condemns the violence in Kosovo and is ready to evaluate «the hypothesis of strengthening the KFOR device to avoid accidents and victims. I have already spoken about it with the Minister of Defense Crosetto."

The Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, said this during a meeting at the Farnesina with the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.

«I believe – added Tajani – that Italy, thanks to its ability to dialogue with everyone, can continue to play its role in bringing peace to a very complicated territory. The solutions are never those of war but those of diplomacy. I invite everyone – concluded the minister – to recognize themselves in Borrell's declaration of 19 September and to work for peace".

The situation in Kosovo, particularly in their country, near the border with Serbia, has been at very high tension for months, with the local government led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti pointing the finger at Belgrade, accusing it of supporting raids by Serbian criminal gangs with the objective of destabilizing the country.
