Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on a mission to the Principality of Monaco and France.
In particular, the minister will travel to Nice to participate in the second meeting of the Italian-French Border Cooperation Committee together with the French Foreign Minister, Jean-Noël Barrot, with whom he will also have a bilateral meeting.
The Committee's work will also address the issue of cross-border connections, including maritime ones, an integral part of cooperation between Italy and France, with the aim of also strengthening connections by ship to Sardinia and Corsica.
"We need to continue along the path we outlined last year at the Turin meeting, starting with the mobility of cross-border crossings. Ensuring connectivity means promoting the development and competitiveness of our territories" , Tajani declared,
During the Border Cooperation Committee, we will discuss how to strengthen collaboration between Italy and France in the fields of language, culture, tourism and healthcare, especially in the territories bordering the two countries, further strengthening initiatives such as bilingual education, cross-border civil service and collaboration in the university sector.
