"Zelensky? If he's ready to meet me, he can come to Moscow."

Russian President Vladimir Putin said this in a statement reported by the Interfax agency.

Regarding the conflict with Kiev, the Moscow leader also said that " if common sense prevails, it will be possible to agree on an acceptable option to end" the war. "It seems to me," he explained, "that there is some light at the end of the tunnel. Let's see how the situation develops."

Putin added that Moscow notes the "appeals" from the US presidency led by Donald Trump and the "sincere desire to find a solution." "Otherwise," he clarified, "we will have to resolve all the tasks assigned to us with armed means."

After Putin's "invitation," Kiev's response was ready. The Russian president "continues to play everyone by making blatantly unacceptable proposals," declared Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
