Pornhub and Other Porn Sites Under Investigation: 'They Don't Protect Minors'

The EU Commission has opened formal proceedings against the adult content sites Pornhub, Stripchat, XNXX and XVideos for suspected violations of the Digital Services Act (DSA) on the protection of minors.

Under scrutiny, the lack of adequate age verification systems and measures on the safety of young users. In parallel, Member States are launching a coordinated action on smaller porn platforms.

"The online space should be a safe environment for children to learn and interact. Our priority is to protect minors," said Commission Vice-President Henna Virkkunen.
