New York, a helicopter crashes into the Hudson River: 6 dead, 3 are children

On board the helicopter that crashed yesterday into the Hudson River in New York were Agustín Escobar, CEO of Siemens Spain, his wife Merce Camprubi Montal and their three children, ages 4, 5 and 11: the police reported. This is the toll of the tragedy that occurred in the United States in the last few hours . The 36-year-old pilot of the Bell 206 helicopter of the New York Helicopters company also died in the accident, and he has not yet been identified.
Escobar had been appointed head of Siemens' Spain and Southwest Europe division in 2022. The family had arrived in New York from Barcelona, two Spanish officials said.
The accident occurred late yesterday evening (Italian time), on Thursday afternoon in the United States. The helicopter crashed at the height of the West Side Highway and Spring Street, in the southwest area of Manhattan .
