US President Joe Biden has signed the huge aid package for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan . Furthermore, the Washington leader also ratified the law that decrees the ban on TikTok if the Chinese ownership of the social network (ByteDance) is not sold within nine months.

«The United States does not bow to anyone, least of all Putin, it does not allow tyrants to win and it does not leave its allies alone », said Biden speaking at the White House regarding the new, huge military support that will be provided « as soon as possible" in Kiev to counter Moscow's offensive.

Furthermore, «if Russia attacks the NATO countries we will react», Biden assured, then explaining that «the law approved by Congress will make the United States and the world safer», because «if our allies are strong, we are strong too ».

The funds intended to support Kiev amount to a total of 1 billion dollars.

As for aid destined for the Middle Eastern front, «this package – Biden said – significantly increases humanitarian assistance to Gaza», but « Israel must guarantee that aid reaches the Palestinians without delay».

As regards the ultimatum to TikTok, the reply from ByteDance CEO Shou Zi Chew was not long in coming. "Rest assured: we are not going anywhere... the facts and the Constitution are on our side and we expect to win again", he declared, announcing a legal appeal against the US measure.
