Jon Bon Jovi accidental hero in Nashville. The star saved a woman from certain death by convincing her not to jump off a bridge.
The artist was filming a music video when one of his assistants noticed a woman nearby over the guardrail, apparently about to jump off the bridge into the Cumberland River. Bon Jovi approached her cautiously and in less than a minute managed to convince her to turn back, helping her over the railing and to safety. The two then spoke for a while before embracing.
The video, captured by local surveillance cameras, was released by the police. Police Chief John Drake said: "A round of applause to Jon Bon Jovi and his team for helping a woman on the Seigenthaler Ped Bridge Tuesday night. Bon Jovi helped convince her to step off the ledge into the Cumberland River to safety... We need everyone to help each other stay safe."
Bon Jovi has been demonstrating his altruism for almost twenty years, since he founded his JBJ Soul Foundation, which provides housing and food to the poor and homeless in the suburbs of US cities. The non-profit organization also deals with assistance and reintegration into society and the world of work of people in difficulty.
