Maxi-fire in London: dozens of firefighters in action, residents evacuated

Alarm in London for a violent fire in the Southwark area . After the alarm, the railway lines to and from London Bridge were cut off and several buildings were evacuated. Some metro stops also closed .

In the images posted on Twitter we see a column of black smoke rising from the place

of the fire. The flames are believed to have flared up in a parking lot under the Southwark railway bridge, where several electric cars were engulfed in flames . The London Fire Brigade intervened with 10 fire engines and about 70 firefighters.

The area between America Street and Great Suffolk Street has been cordoned off to allow for extinguishing operations and residents have been asked to keep closed

the doors and windows.
