«It's the first full day of our campaign, later I will go to Wilmington, Delaware, to greet our staff at headquarters. A day has passed. 105 remain. Together, we will win."

The vice president of the United States, Kamala Harris, wrote this on X before speaking at an event at the White House to celebrate the university athletes of the year.

As is known, after President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the race, Harris is the probable Democratic candidate in November's presidential elections against Republican Donald Trump.

A step backwards that Harris, in her subsequent speech, wanted to praise, with these words: "Joe Biden's legacy and achievements are unparalleled in modern history."

The Democratic candidate also underlined the "honesty and integrity" of the president and

saying she was "grateful" for her work and explaining that Biden, hit by Covid in recent days, "is recovering quickly".

Harris has already received the endorsement of all the main big Democrats, from former speaker Nancy Pelosi to Bill and Hillary Clinton. Not (yet) the official one of Barack Obama.

But the enthusiasm for his possible candidacy is high, just think that according to Politico, Future Forward, the leading super Pac created to support the Biden-Harris campaign, has received pledges of 150 million dollars from the main Democratic donors in the 24 hours after the president announced he was withdrawing from the race.
