It ends off the dirt road and falls for 40 meters: a 27-year-old cyclist dies

A 27-year -old German cyclist died after crashing about 40 meters off a rock face in Zermatt , Switzerland .

Riding a mountain bike, the young man was traveling - together with two other friends - a downhill dirt track , from the hamlet of Z'Mutt towards Zermatt: for reasons to be established he lost his balance and ended up off the road , falling into the empty.

Rescuers from Air Zermatt intervened on the spot by helicopter, who could not help but ascertain the death of the 27-year-old.

The incident took place last Thursday, September 1st, around 4.30 pm, but the cantonal police of Valais only gave the news today.

As usual, the judiciary has opened an investigation to shed light on the causes of the incident.
