Two rockets fired by Hezbollah militants landed in the courtyard of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residence in Caesarea. Neither the prime minister nor his family were home at the time of the attack.

The police and the Shin Bet (the Jewish state's internal security services), confirming the news of the raid, said that "the serious incident marks a dangerous escalation."

In recent weeks, a drone launched from Lebanon had hit a facade of the same house, causing several damages. On that occasion too, the prime minister was not present.
