Work is underway on a new ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Egyptian security sources, quoted by Haaretz, claim that both Israel and Hamas are open to a new ceasefire but at the moment "disagreement remains on the details".

Meanwhile, still on the negotiations front, diplomatic sources have reported a meeting held between Mossad director David Barnea and Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani to discuss the resumption of negotiations for the release of the hostages. A face-to-face meeting that ended "in a positive way".
