Israel blocks Al Jazeera: stop broadcasting in the country
The Qatari broadcaster, one of the few to remain in Gaza, has been blocked. The decision after the "unanimous" vote of Netanyahu's government

Stop al Jazeera broadcasts in Israel. This was decided by Netanyahu's government which voted unanimously to close the activities of the Qatari broadcaster. The relevant law had already been approved by the Knesset previously, now it has been ratified.
In application of the government's decision, Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi ordered "the closure of the offices, the confiscation of the channel's equipment, possibly including cell phones and the blocking of access to the TV website."
The news comes after Israel's prime minister announced on Wednesday that the country was considering blocking broadcasts from al Jazeera, one of the few international media outlets to remain in Gaza .
