Panic in Kansas City (Missouri) during the parade to celebrate the Chiefs' victory in the Super Bowl. Gunshots were heard and police immediately cleared the crowd from the area around Union Station. The general stampede was hindered by the metal barriers installed to protect the procession. People ran away screaming and seeking shelter in side streets or throwing themselves to the ground.

Two armed people, according to CNN, were blocked by officers and are now in custody.

There would be several injured people rescued by ambulances: between 8 and 10 confirmed by the fire chief, five of these were hospitalized.

For now there is no hypothesis on the motive, although it could be a gang-related incident.
