Floods in Quito, deaths and destruction

Due to the heavy rains that are falling on the Quito area, in Ecuador, several floods are recorded. The fury of the water drags stones and mud with it, invading the streets of the capital and sweeping away the cars. Numerous houses flooded, confirms the Civil Protection which also provides an initial death toll: 11 bodies recovered.

Since last October, 22 out of 24 provinces in the country are affected by bad weather that killed at least 18 people, 24 injured.
