First attack by Ukraine against Russia using American missiles after authorization granted by Washington. This was reported by unofficial Russian sources who add that an anti-aircraft defense system was hit in the border region of Belgorod.

News that comes on the very day in which Moscow warned the United States against making "fatal" mistakes in Ukraine. According to the Russian Telegram channel of military experts Dva Majora, which has over 700,000 subscribers, American Himars missiles hit a station deploying S-300 and S-400 missiles. The same source added that there were no casualties among the soldiers.

Another Russian channel, Astra, wrote that the attack damaged a troop base and a heavy weapons storage area in the Korochanskiy district, also in the Belgorod region. News not confirmed by the authorities in Moscow nor by those in Kiev.

The US has made it clear that for now the missiles supplied to Kiev can be used to strike Russian territory only with the aim of countering the advance of Moscow's troops in the Kharkiv region. But Russia fears that they could also be used to bomb its strategic defense system, after the Ukrainians tried to attack two radars using drones in recent days.
