Elections: Italians registered in the AIRE, the choice on the vote by correspondence or with return

The deadline by which Italian voters residing abroad and registered with AIRE (Italian Registry Resident Abroad) can choose to vote in Italy at their AIRE registration municipality, or by post for elections , expires today, July 31st. of next September 25 , communicating in writing its decision to the Consulate.

The communication can be reported on plain paper and must indicate the name, surname, date, place of birth, place of residence and signature of the voter, with a copy of an identity document of the declarant attached.

Those who vote in Italy will receive a postcard from the Municipality. Please note that there are no reimbursements for travel expenses incurred, but you are entitled to tariff concessions within the Italian territory. Only those who reside in countries where there are no conditions for voting by correspondence are entitled to a refund of 75 per cent of the cost of the travel ticket, in economy class.

In the case of a postal vote, you will receive the electoral envelope at your residential address.
