There are five new suspects in the Swiss investigation into the New Year's Eve massacre at the Constellation , with 41 dead and 115 injured, and among them, there is also the mayor of Crans-Montana, Nicolas Féraud .

He is facing the same charges as the couple Jacques and Jessica Moretti , owners of the disco bar where the tragedy took place, as well as Christophe Balet, head of public safety for the municipality of Crans-Montana, and his predecessor Ken Jacquemoud, as reported by Repubblica and Corriere della Sera: fire, homicide and negligent injury.

The new suspects - all with important roles in the administration of the Valais town - are Kévin Barras, councillor in the council with responsibilities for security, now substitute member of the Valais Parliament, Pierre Albéric Clivaz, Rudy Tissières and Baptiste Cotter, all with past or current responsibilities for controls between Crans and Chermignon , a municipality later annexed to the former.
