There is a second victim of the collapse of a building which took place yesterday at dawn in Provence, in Sanary-sur-Mer. This is an 82-year-old woman. Among the rubble people are still digging to find the missing person, the old woman's son.

Yesterday a man was rescued lifeless, the father of the child who was extracted alive with his mother.

Citizenship is in shock. Several witnesses said they heard a big roar, someone thought that a plane had crashed. The accident appears to be due to a gas leak.

Among the heaps of bricks and furniture, the rescuers who also use two canine units are constantly digging.

The last serious tragedy linked to the collapse of buildings in the south of France dates back to 5 November 2018: two unhealthy buildings in the rue d'Aubagne, in the center of Marseille, had come down causing 8 deaths, including an Italian girl, the thirty-year-old from Taranto Simona Carpignano.
