Tensions are running high in Asia, along the border between Thailand and Cambodia.

Troops from both states accuse each other of opening fire in the border demarcation area, defined during the time of French Indochina, and disputed for years.

Thailand's interim Prime Minister, Phumtham Wechayachai, has warned that cross-border clashes with Cambodia "could escalate into war," as cross-border attacks between the two countries continue for the second consecutive day (with around fifteen casualties reported).

More than 100,000 people have been evacuated from the affected area.
