Tragedy in Florida.

A man, Thomas Mosley, is accused of killing his 20-year-old partner Pashun Jeffery and their two-year-old son Taylen on Thursday.

When the investigators arrived at the scene of the crime, an apartment in St. Petersburg, they found only the first body, devastated by several cuts.

However, there was no trace of the child. After days of searching, he was found dead 16 kilometers away from home, in the mouth of an alligator . It was near a lake in Dell Holmes Park.

The reptile was shot down by the police.

"We didn't want to find him this way, but at least now we can give that family some peace," Holloway said at a press conference.

The search for the child was attended by dogs, a drone, and federal and state law enforcement agencies. The cause of Taylen's death will be determined by the coroner .
