At the next G7, US President Joe Biden will reiterate "the United States' support for Ukraine, especially in these winter months". This was announced by the spokesperson of the American National Security Council, John Kirby, in a briefing with the foreign press.

And Biden himself personally raised the alarm about possible future attacks by Russia on European countries or the Atlantic Alliance: «The USA and Europe they cannot afford Vladimir Putin's victory", explained the White House number one, also alluding to the hypothesis that, in the event of a threat to an allied state, American troops would end up fighting directly against Russian ones.

The Biden administration is trying to complete the political and bureaucratic process to deliver the new aid and new armaments to Kiev.

In this regard, Kirby explained that if the situation in the American Congress on the funds for Ukraine "is not resolved by the end of the month it will be a great Christmas present to Putin". “It is a delicate moment not only in the Capitol Hill calendar but also in Ukraine, with winter advancing,” the US official continued.

The stalemate in the US parliament on funds for Ukraine is caused by the deep divisions in Congress: the Republicans, the majority in the House of Representatives, condition aid to Ukraine on a clear reduction in American migration policy at the Mexican border, which which the Democrats reject.
