Fear in Lisbon.

Two women were killed in a "blade attack" inside the Ismaili Muslim center on Avenida Luisada.

This was reported by the Portuguese police.

"The attack has left several people injured and, for the time being, two dead," the police said, adding that the alleged perpetrator has been arrested.

It is an Afghan, wounded in the legs by police officers who intervened on the spot. He is currently hospitalized in a hospital in the Portuguese capital and under custody. The reasons for the gesture are not yet known, but apparently it would be premeditated violence, given that he would have used a large knife.

In Portugal there are less than 10,000 Ismailis and their center on the outskirts of Lisbon has recently also done its utmost to welcome refugees.
