Moscow's tanks advance into Ukraine but a cyber-offensive launched by Anonymous has sent major government sites in Moscow into a tailspin, including those of the Kremlin and the Ministry of Defense.

The hackers tried to silence the propaganda media: "We have sent government websites offline - explained the collective - and turned the information to Russian citizens so that they can be free from Putin's censorship machine".

In addition, according to reports from numerous media, on some hacked Russian TVs typical Ukrainian songs were aired. Eyes on Putin, whom Anonymous defines as a "puppet", also from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter: the first two began to receive reports relating to profiles considered propaganda, the third blocked the possibility of creating new Russian accounts.

And Australia has decided to suspend the broadcasts in its country of Russia Today, the all-news channel in Moscow.
