“It’s hard to believe that (Nasrallah) is still alive,” an Israeli official told the Jerusalem Post, referring to last night’s massive air strike on Hezbollah’s central headquarters in Beirut . The group’s leader, the official said, “was one of the targets of the attack.”
Also consolidating Israeli beliefs are the statements of a source close to Hezbollah, according to whom Nasrallah, is unreachable after the attack. The Israeli forces (IDF) have however confirmed the killing of the head of the Hezbollah missile unit in southern Lebanon, Muhammad Ali Ismail, and his deputy, Hussein Ahmad Ismail. According to the Lebanese media, the toll would be at least 6 dead and more than 90 wounded .
Hezbollah, however, has not commented on the possible killing of Nasrallah, although media linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guards claimed that the leader was "alive and in a safe place." During the night, raids continued on Beirut, which hit, among other things, Hezbollah's weapons production facilities.
At the UN General Assembly, Netanyahu attacked Tehran, explaining that "Israel has been forced to defend itself on six fronts supported by Iran. If you attack us, we will hit you." The Israeli Prime Minister assured that the Jewish state will continue its attacks in Lebanon "until we achieve our goals." Then the attack on the United Nations, defined as an "anti-Semitic swamp" and a "flat-Earth and anti-Israeli" society.
