A school in north-central Burma was hit by a helicopter attack from the military junta. At least 13 victims, including seven children.

The administrator of the Mar Mar institute explained that she was trying to take the students to a safe hiding place when the raid of two of the four Mi-35 government helicopters started. They took off north of Let Yet Kone village in Tabayin, about 110km northwest of Mandalay, and fired machine guns and heavier weapons at the school .

The attack took place last Friday but it was only announced today.
