After killing his girlfriend 10 years ago, Oscar Pistorius gets parole
For the former Paralympic champion, an early release starting from January 5, 2024Oscar Pistorius has been granted parole .
For the South African Paralympic champion, the early release from prison comes 10 years after the murder of his girlfriend , a crime that shocked the whole world. It was Valentine's Day 2013 when model Reeva Steenkamp was killed with 4 gunshots .
As stated by a spokesperson for the Department of Correctional Services, «parole has been confirmed for Oscar Leonard Carl Pistorius, starting from 5 January 2024».
