A keg of beer explodes in his face, 43 years old dies during the birthday party

While he was celebrating his 43rd birthday at home, the metal beer keg exploded in his face killing him.

The tragedy took place in Campo Bom, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.

The victim was named Gilson do Nascimento. The man noticed during the celebrations that the container had a problem with the tap and was producing only foam. So he decided to call the Chopp Express company, which had rented the keg.

According to the victim's niece, the man received instructions on how to temporarily repair the damage until an employee arrived who would make the final repair.

Gilson tried to go it alone when the pressurized container jumped into the area causing him severe head injuries and killing him instantly.

The employee of Chopp Express, who arrived on the spot, found the 43-year-old lifeless. The company defends itself by ensuring that it has advised the customer not to touch the equipment and to wait for the technician to arrive.

The police, who are hearing the guests at the birthday party, are currently treating the incident as an accident.

The unfortunate 43-year-old had just gotten over cancer, local media reported, which had forced him into two months of intensive care.
