Tragic fire aboard a ferry in the Philippines: the death toll is over 30, including children.
The boat "Mary Joy 3" which was traveling from Zamboanga City, on the island of Mindanao, to the island of Jolo, in the province of Sulu, caught fire.
"We recorded first 13 deaths, then 18 new deaths, for a total of 31 deaths," said Jim Salliman, governor of the southern province of Basilan, off the coast of which the accident occurred.
Rescuers saved 230 people, 195 passengers and 35 crew members.
