A 27-year-old from Ardara in Marrakech: "I can't wait to leave, there's a lot of fear"

"It was like thunder approaching." This is how Alberto Lasia, a 27-year-old from Ardara , describes the earthquake that hit Morocco causing more than 1,300 deaths and thousands of injuries.
«I was in Marrakech for work - continues Alberto, who will only be able to return to Sardinia tomorrow -. I was with some colleagues in the main square of the city and at a certain point the earth moved, moving me by a meter ."
There was great panic among the people "who started to run away", but the sky "disappeared due to the dust caused by falling rubble" .
Lasia takes a taxi back to the hotel. «It took us an hour to cover 4 km». At night the hotel guests sleep on deckchairs outside the structure which has suffered significant damage. «Today I went around to see the city. It's a real disaster." Tomorrow the return to Italy. « I can't wait to get on the plane. Even today there was another small shock and we are afraid ."
