Francesco Girardi's departure from Masterchef is still being debated on social media.

"Remember, every now and then, that you are not only dealing with aspiring chefs but also with people," said the 34-year-old Trentino photographer residing in Cesena, addressing the judges who decided to eliminate him. "We know, otherwise no one would go ahead," Antonino Cannavacciuolo replied.

The debate is unleashed on the web with users who are divided between those who are in favor of the now former competitor of the cooking show ("The judges are too self-centered") and those who instead believe that he has exaggerated ("It's worse in restaurants"), remembering how long gone are the days when plates were thrown and competitors insulted.

«I have never felt treated by them in a disrespectful way, I have great esteem for all three – Girardi points out to Corriere -. I didn't find them arrogant or rude or out of place: the comments were about my dishes, objectively full of mistakes. What I meant was that they treated us like professional cooks, when none of us are. We are just mere mortals who have tried their hand at cooking ».

«A few less demands during the rehearsals would have been enough – he adds -. The pressure, internal and external to the program, is great. Let's say that this early exit from MasterChef cost me a few sessions with the analyst ».

«The idea of humiliation is not part of my philosophy of life – Giorgio Locatelli defends himself -. The chef is a person: we come from kitchens where we have been humiliated, but we don't want to perpetuate this model, it doesn't work». Cannavacciuolo: "Since I've been here, no one has ever been targeted." For Bruno Barbieri: «Respect is the basis».

Before starting the race, Girardi said he had tragically lost his parents at the age of 13 in a car accident. A few months ago he had a heart attack: "At 33 I died on Friday and rose again on Sunday," he told the judges.
