Alberto Ruben Arena of the Torre del Greco section will referee Udinese-Cagliari, Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine. Assistant referees Giovanni Baccini (Conegliano section) and Dario Cecconi (Empoli) have also been designated for the Serie A matchday six match , with Giuseppe Mucera (Palermo) serving as the fourth official. Aleandro Di Paolo (Avezzano) will be in charge of VAR, with Alessandro Prontera (Bologna) as assistant.

This is Arena's first time ever with Cagliari . He has only taken charge of the Rossoblu with the Primavera, on January 11, 2020, in a 0-3 win over Chievo and on May 26, 2021, in a 5-3 defeat to Roma. This is his fourth Serie A appearance: he made his debut on April 27 in Como-Genoa, then this season he took charge of Atalanta-Pisa on matchday one and Verona-Cremonese on matchday three. He also took charge of AC Milan-Bari in the Coppa Italia on August 17 and Monza-Padova in Serie B on September 27.

These are the referees for the sixth matchday of Serie A , which starts tomorrow evening and will be the last before the international break.
