Just a telephone contact today between Mario Draghi and Giuseppe Conte . The two talked on the phone for a first interview after the clash that risked putting the government in crisis and forced the premier to return early from the NATO summit in Madrid.
But they just made an appointment on Monday.
The leader of the 5 Star Movement glossed over when asked if he still has faith in the Prime Minister and sent it all face to face.
“Today a telephone interview, we will meet then on Monday, we will talk directly on Monday ,” he said.
"We will discuss, maybe it is an opportunity to put an end to a political unease , if M5S is important for him to behave accordingly", said Conte in the evening at an AreaDem event in Cortona.
The former prime minister also spoke of the split: “ I don't know if Draghi suggested it, but such a split cannot be cultivated in a few hours, there was a personal agenda that comes from outside. We will also talk about this with the premier ".
On staying in government : “We make decisions within a community: there will be involvement of political bodies and we will evaluate. The meeting on Monday will be important to clarify and understand where we have arrived ".
