An 830 gram sautéed pan paid 103 thousand euros.

Record sale at the XXII World Alba White Truffle auction, which was held at the Castle of Grinzane Cavour (Cuneo).

In recent months the truffle has reached the maximum prices of the last eight years, exceeding 4500 euros per kilo in October, due to the adverse weather conditions that have occurred in recent months.

The winner of the precious piece was a Hong Kong businessman in love with Italy.

Three other truffle specimens weighing 230, 250 and 400 grams, purchased by a Danish entrepreneur and two Italian entrepreneurs, were also put up for auction in the dining room in Grinzane.

In total, 457,300 euros were raised during the auction, which will be donated to charity.

The castle - in connection with Hong Kong, Moscow, Singapore and Dubai - then hosted the debut of "Barolo en primeur", with the auction of 15 barriques of the fine wine made from the grapes of Vigna Gustava.

A few days ago, Flavio Briatore also intervened on the price dispute, who in a video showed giant truffles available in his restaurant in Montecarlo. However, some experts had claimed that they were "fakes", that is, they did not come from the Langhe.
