The arrival of the new year sees the Moon in the crescent phase as the protagonist. Three brilliant planets frame it: Mars to the east, Jupiter to the south and Saturn to the south-west, while after 7 pm the brightest star in the sky, Sirius, appears to the east, dominated by the famous constellation of Orion. 2023 begins with comet C/2022 E3 ZTF approaching the Sun and which will pass close to the Earth in late January, perhaps also becoming visible to the naked eye.

The winter sky is now clearly visible and to tell the story, the Planetarium of the Unione Sarda inaugurates 2023 with a series of appointments. Sunday 1 January at 19:00 "The stars of the new year", to admire the starry sky, with its constellations and the many places in the sky and to find out how to observe the new comet.

Two appointments on Monday 2 January, the first dedicated to children at 16:00 with "The stars with the Little Prince", to travel among the stars accompanied by a classic of world literature. At 19:00 "Winter nights, the beauty of the winter sky" to admire the brightest stars of the year.

On 3 January a special dedicated to all lovers of the Moon "The magic of the Moon through the telescope", with a journey to discover the Moon that will end outside (weather permitting) with observation through the telescope.
