Time is almost up. The Chamber must approve the 2026 Budget today or tomorrow to avoid the second month of provisional budgeting. The problem is that so far, only three articles have been approved. Fourteen remain.

Optimists, especially the majority, remain convinced that working until late today will be enough. Moreover, the most difficult issue is now over: the article on healthcare that kept councilors glued to their desks for two days, and for which the presence of the governor and interim councilor Alessandra Todde was required.

This heated debate yesterday, prompting the center-right to call a press conference to emphasize that "Campo largo has lost its bearings," and to point the finger at the management of the messy appointments at the local health authorities.

But now the knots to be untied are finished: there is an agreement on the additional one hundred million for the single fund for local authorities, and yesterday morning the majority summarized the resources for diocesan charities (1.7 million in total, at least 150,000 per diocese).

Some controversy is expected over the discussion of the article on Labor, for which Desirè Manca is responsible. But an agreement (the minority will have to withdraw the thousands of amendments submitted) is within reach. And Budget Councilor Giuseppe Meloni remains adamant: the second month of the fiscal year must be avoided.
