The investigation into Christian Solinas breaks into the Sardinian electoral campaign . A judicial turning point which, according to majority circles, could accelerate the outcome of the coalition candidate and the governor's step backwards in the race for an encore.

Yesterday the Financial Police seized assets worth 350 thousand euros from the President of the Region and six others under investigation for corruption .

There are two lines of investigation. In the first, according to the Prosecutor's Office, Solinas would have been interested in obtaining public supplies for the entrepreneur Roberto Zedda, who had purchased a property belonging to the governor in Capoterra at a significantly increased price (303 thousand euros more than the value of the property, estimated by the charge in 72 thousand euros) . With that money Solinas would have purchased a Land Rover and financed a sum of 246 thousand euros for the purchase of a villa in the Quartiere del Sole.

The second strand concerns the appointment of Roberto Raimondi as head of the Enpi, in exchange, according to the accusation, for promises to have Solinas hold lectures in the telematic faculty and an honorary degree in Albania .

In addition to the governor , the entrepreneur Roberto Zedda and the Psd'Az regional councilor Nanni Lancioni are under investigation in the first line, the Solinas consultant Christian Stevelli, the rector of the University of Tirana Arben Gjata and the director of the E-Campus Alfonso Lovito in the second .

The seizure ordered by judge Luca Melis at the request of prosecutor Giangiacomo Pilia concerns assets worth 303 thousand euros for the alleged corruption in the sale of the Capoterra property, another 42,185.75 linked instead to the Enpi affair. «The affair – we read in the investigating judge's order – was expertly reconstructed by the investigators of the Guardia di Finanza to the point of providing the judge with circumstantial evidence of considerable gravity ». In essence, in the judge's opinion there were the elements for precautionary measures such as the seizure of assets.

THE REACTIONS

The governor and the League talk about clockwork justice. Solinas underlines the "timing" of the measure, which arrives "four days after the presentation of the lists and while the centre-right candidate for president is being decided" .

«Acts that should be covered by investigative secrecy – continues the governor – are instead in the possession of all the media and circulate freely, in a state of law these things should not happen».

«We are faced – accuses Solinas – with an unproven and unprovable theorem stubbornly constructed by the judicial police , but as soon as we have the opportunity to represent the facts it will be demonstrated that nothing illegal has been done».

The words of the number two of the League, Andrea Crippa, also come in defense of Solinas: «The vote will be on February 25th and with perfect timing legal problems arise for Solinas . Solidarity with the governor."

The rest of the party is silent, however it is revealed that the developments of the investigation will not change the cards on the table. In other words, if the current governor takes a step back, it will not depend on investigations and prosecutors. And if the Northern League now seems oriented towards supporting Truzzu , certainly not for the investigation into Solinas but for the balance of the majority in Rome, the decision of the Psd'Az is awaited, which has convened the national council for tomorrow , and has done so in limba.

The Sardinians will dissolve the reservation on Friday and make the final decision. And the judicial turning point that arrived yesterday could lead to an angry reaction (solo race or support for Soru, which would cause a split in the Quattro Mori), but it could also convince Solinas to stop and support Paolo Truzzu.
